Stoke-based artist Ian Parker on BBC Television
Stoke-based artist Ian Parker, who was born with arthrogryposis leaving him unable to use his limbs, featured on the BBC Midlands Today news programme to demonstrate how he paints with his mouth and to talk about the work he does as a member of the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists.
The interview showcased the launch of a new children’s book he has illustrated, called Danny’s Dream, written by Victor Margiotta. The film package showed viewers some of the charming images that bring to life the narrative of the book, and its important theme of overcoming adversity.
When asked about the book, his wife Mary said, “He worked really hard on the book and it’s a tremendous achievement and I’m very proud of him.”
